I think one of the growing pains crypto is going through is the need to actually be legit.

In the past it was ok to only focus on the future and what was possible.

It let people live in this kind of fantasy world where real stats and proximity to culture didn’t matter.

Now projects have to stand behind what they’ve shipped and make that compelling to net new people.

The struggle is that you can’t fake it anymore and people can see right through when something is off or half baked.

Very few projects that can confidently stand out in the absence of a bull market and get real people to think what they’re doing is cool.

I saw a piece of art going wild on Zora recently 6000 mints and counting. Nobody I’d heard of. Nobody I knew was following. This makes sense 

It’s one thing if an individual is botting their art.  It’s a whole other thing for me when it’s a promoter who also is invested in the platform
