I'm never satisfied with anything. If anyone ever tells you that perfectionism is the trait to have....they are wrong. It's a fucking disease.

Knowing that nothing is forever shifted my perfectionist focus to “how” I do things rather than the output of the effort. It’s allowed me to live with the disease. I still experience dark phases but they are increasingly shorter. Noticed a benefit of the work output being less “strangled” in its energy too. Here for you.

Yeah... On the surface, the disease appears to be good for you. You are not satisfied, so you constantly improve your skills... Good for your art, right? But years later you are still unsatisfied, getting mad, and starting to hate your art even more. Perfectionism can bring you success or depression. Most probably both 😂 Thanks Brian! I'm working on it.

Another way to view it in a healthy light is through the lens of ‘curiosity’. Your curiosity in the ability to share something important grows with your ability to express it. It’s a creative flywheel that spins faster than human production.
