Is there penalty? I subscribed to a group of people who get tipped automatically every day, and it makes one cast per person.

A good rule of thumb: if you are posting in a public space, do the people who get notifications find it annoying? In this case, that would be whoever you are replying to, and the channel owner if it is in a channel. 

If you think the answer is yes, then I wouldn't do it.

Doubt it, the people that get those casts like and appreciate the tips. 

I’m more curious if the algo sees it as spam.

If I am an algo creator, cast with no engagement and casting many times with the same content will be considered spam 🤔
