HighFlier, a chinese quant hedge fund and its fully open source. I find that claude is the best for coding but super expensive, however deepseek is fully open source and pretty much does everything i need. lol you can let it run ALL day and pay like $1.50. Tom Dorr and Taelin are utter chads in the llm realm. @gm8xx8 is also a big fan

BTW DeepSeek isn't just a great model. It is, by far, the best API experience I've ever used. Sign up, put card, and it just works™. Latency low, doesn't fail randomly, no buggy streaming delays, no rate limits, automatic caching(!). Basically, the extreme opposite of Gemini:/

Was expecting the API experience to degrade as Deepseek gets more traffic, but I guess when you open source your model, you don't have to keep the weights secret and can use any datacenter to scale
