1. fundamental misunderstanding of crypto systems is glaring—not just about owning assets but also compute, on-chain economies, and more.

2. it’s not a lack of understanding of swarms, but a wild over-indexing on the increasingly unlikely idea of AGI as singular models tied to individual data centers.

3. unreal that this level of superficiality and bias is involved in doing policy work at OpenAI.

4. the spread between open source, crypto, agent meta, hacker culture, and Big Brother AI grows wider by the second.

5. hard to overstate the impact Meta had by open-sourcing their models.

Now that everyone knows about o3, and imminent AGI is considered plausible, I’d like to walk through some of the AI policy implications I see.

The compound of Meta's OSing will make 5 a permanent thing. Even when the general understanding catches up/improves, it will be even harder to overstate as it will continue to be exponentially more impactful
