what’s the best argument/reason for OpenAI for not just going public and doing private rounds of these sizes?

Going public is a hassle. Easier to stay private for a little bit before they resolve the for-profit vs non-profit issues

how will the private investors at these crazy valuations exit then? I would say the simple answer is liquidity, they will turn it into a story stock and try and pump it up for retail. It is losing huge amounts of cash per month, it is far from a sure bet.
