On Twitter, @MINHxDYNASTY suggests not playing and only staking if you have less than $100k, which you'd use to upgrade to Level 10 and have a constant rotation of 22 Basic seeds. Is this the general consensus? Am I just burning money with rolls of 5-8 pico seeds?

can you walk me through the thought process here? you’re playing for XP, not xYield APR imo.

The thought process is that without harvest bonuses, chests and other perks from the higher level valleys, you're burning too much YIELD to gain XP. Likewise once you have Level 10 or 15, you need to max farming basic or premium seeds. It comes down to how much the Gold we get from XP is worth.

I have 1558 XP. Would I have been better off just staking the YIELD I've been using to play? The YIELD I lose means I don't get any token appreciation of staking yield on it. It's an opportunity cost and potentially a big one.

I think for smaller accounts it’s better to stake all your yield, and if you want to farm, allocate a small % to just feeble seeds in hopes that you can get lucky enough to upgrade your farm to improve your chances of better feeble seeds. Mainly because of CV’s growing hype, the XP that whales can earn is so big.

That your allocation of gold is likely so small, but we know yield is going to appreciate as people try to grow their XP. So staking for a really good APR and seeing price appreciate seems like best bet if you want to make money. If you want to earn XP, then you have to play I think.
