nominations were filtered down to projects that haven't won before, and are available in the official Obsidian directory... from there larger categories were narrowed down to 20 projects based on popularity using a few heuristics (e.g. number of downloads, number of stars on GitHub, etc)

i know there was a form to nominate, but what happens after that?
