I’ve been thinking about how to build a space elevator for years now. Something that’s been of interest and back of mind for a while

- do it under a billion dollars
- doesn’t take very long (LEO, it turns out is far away)
- do it cost effectively 
- do it safely
- make it replicable on other planets in long run
