Mental health and addiction make it hard to almost impossible to experience a genuine, emotional connection with another person. Yet, love, when it is given & received, is the essence of life. Love is universal and unlike cancer, mental health and addiction can strip this away.

Sikhism, an Indic religion, teaches that when one's mind is full of love, deficiencies are overbooked. A Burundian proverb says that where there is love there is no darkness.

I challenge you today to look past immorality. Look past deficiencies. Love knows no boundaries. Love brings order to chaos. Love brings us together and does not separate us. Love does not discriminate.
