the social media that gets crypto integration right first > decentralized social media (no social media user cares if their content is decentralized) what makes Warpcast special isn't the "sufficiently decentralized" backend, it's the fact they make it seamless to connect wallets, do transactions in-feed, etc. a quote repost @sartocrates because we know a reply won't get visibility

directionally don't disagree but the point of many clients isn't just decentralizetion and client diversity the hope is that the various clients would bring different content and form different graphs.

I get that in theory, but in practice doesn't really seem to be happening if you're going to start a new social media app that brings in net new valuable content to the Farcaster network, why are you jumping through the hoops to host that content on Farcaster vs running a centralized network that doesn't have to deal with the clunkiness of decentralization?

in order to bootstrap users by tapping into an existing social network and social graph.

again, good in theory, but the reality could be that the hassle of dealing with the decentralized backend isn't worth that benefit especially hard to sell when the primary app is still struggling to bootstrap DAU so even if I'm wrong and Farcaster is more valuable long term, Warpcast has to be a runaway success with a fantastic userbase before tapping into the network effects is appealing to most builders
