Could you explain about the internet status in North Korea? Is it okay for the people to invest in crypto?

The vast majority of North Koreans cannot access the internet. A very select few are allowed web access for either propaganda purposes — lots of North Korean state media available in different languages — and more seriously, cybercrime. The UN estimated last year that the DPRK has stolen at least $3 billion in crypto since 2017. That’s over 10% of the country’s entire GDP!

granted, I do think the UN has a vested interest to exaggerate these numbers a bit because the root recommendation to stop this always ends up being "KYC/AML everything about crypto" which breaks the decentralization benefits if taken to it's logical conclusion 

so for nation states that don't want to see their power eroded by humans having an alternative monetary system, making a scene about "terrorists paying for terror with crypto!!" ends up being a good strategy
