in addition to the lack of dev time, we've had less capital to throw at promotional bounties
the peaks from last spring came around the time we received our 500,000 DEGEN Deploy on Degen Week grant and, subsequently, distributed it back to the community via Degen Chain bounties
with all this in mind, my silver linings are:
- we're maintaining user momentum while the amount of money we're spending to subsidize bounties has gone ⬇️ significantly
- when removing Degen Chain transactions from the equation, baseline unique active wallets and transaction numbers are ⬆️ to start the year (see analytics from DappRadar for Arbitrum + Base)
- the market is down overall and everyone is depressed, not the worst environment to sit back and be happy with a consistent baseline
- while dev time has been thin, we've made HUGE strides with what was available - the app is faster than ever before, we have a v2 frame that's made claim submissions silky smooth, and GitHub is clean + organized
