The differences in what the app does stem from differences in beliefs in developers' heads about what they are here to accomplish.

pumpfun callout is strange

it's a frontend to launch tokens what is inherently "bad" about that

and ironic because the main PMF for Ethereum is "a chain to launch tokens"

polymarket and pumpfun under different categories also strange?

extremely blessed highly favored always grateful

one is a more "polite" form of gambling

but one is also totally centralized sooooo yeah I dunno about that one chief

i mean prediction markets create inherent value (pricing information)

and pump fun is a zero sum
game where retail always loses, a more accessible casino if you will

pumpfun prices information too

"dogwifhat is worth more than bigballs token" is information 

and retail loses every time on Polymarket as well

there is no market in human history where minnows eat better than whales

at least pumpfun is decentralized (look into Polymarket governance)

a pumpfun lets the small guy win if they have the right information too (at insane, life changing multiples more than Polymarket)

and pumpfun is actually tech that is only possible with crypto

Polymarket is regulatory arbitrage, not that interesting imo

the answer to “should dogwifhat be worth more” adds no value to society 

the answer to “who will become the next president” does 

prediction markets quite literally let the small guy win if they have the right information 

I’m not saying pumpfun shouldnt exist but to call it anything other than a form of entertainment is a reach
