Can’t happen!!! I do not understand what is wrong with our batters. I’d love to see a little more small ball to combat the trend. Seemed like we were headed that way a little bit last year. Jesus why am I talking like I’m optimistic.

frankly I am optimistic simply because Servais is gone appreciate the guy getting us a playoff dub but he was SO far down the Jerry Dipoto analytics rabbit hole that he let the bats go to shit mentally with the "well that's baseball and sometimes the cookie crumbles that way" bullshit we were so astronomically, insanely, bad last year in a way that like...shouldn't even be possible mathematically lol and I chalk it up to being too focused on numbers vs the human element that they let all these hitters go cold and it became a self-fulfilling prophecy of everyone's slump infecting everyone else Dan is too much of a baseball guy to let that shit happen, he's not going to care if it goes against the analytics when there is an obvious human issue happening he will do what it takes to get the bats somewhere above "one of the worst groups of hitters in recorded history"
