It got too mean spirited for me many years ago. I think maybe being a VC made me unwelcome there. At least that's how it felt to me. Twitter has become that way too but it's a much larger community so not as acutely so.

yeah a lot of the links are still interesting but I find the overall sentiment very negative. I know what HN will say about an issue before I even open the thread.
