I've seen a few people speculating about how the Farcaster Rewards weighting works so I decided to do a little quick manual analysis on the current top 10 and the below are my findings. I just did this manually so only looked at what each user had posted in the past 24 hours.

The good news is that the system appears to be rewarding quality over quantity for the majority. Anonpapi is the outlier here with 37 cast in the past 24 hours. Amongst the others the average is 11 casts per day.

What the users in the top 10 have in common (with the exception of Zerbiak) is that they have all had at least one or two casts which have performed well in regards to likes and comments. Average likes is 33 per cast.

Hopefully the fact that quality is rewarded more heavily than quantity will help to improve the overall quality of the feed and we will see less low effort spam casting.

The key takeaway for anyone hoping to gain a reward should be 

"post interesting things that people will engage with"
