i walked almost 20 miles in manhattan yesterday & i must say, the city feels homogeneously bad 

the ENTIRE city felt like a penn state frat party; like there were girls picnicking in tompkins sq in dior & st. marks looked like newport

As some from outside visiting NY for a few days do you think I would see any of this? I mean I have my preconceived notions about NY.. But been seeing this as a consistent theme in social media recently! Is it really that bad?
