Watch Dennis McKenna on Joe Rogan. He tells a story his brother Terrance told a lot. It’s an old Buddhist story about a man in a village. The man in the village once sat Buddha walk on water. He then spent his entire life devoted to learning how to walk on water and he finally did. When the Buddha returned to the village many years later, the man ran to him and exclaimed “Buddha Buddha, I have devoted my entire life to learning how to walk on water.” The Buddha smiled warmly and said “why? the ferry only costs a nickel.” Psychedelics are the ferry to enlightenment. You can get there with a full life devotion and 100 years of meditation or you can take the ferry. 👁️

"States are free but stages are earned" - Ken Wilber Psychedelics leads to (temporal) states. Meditation or similar leads to (permanent) stages. "You've got to be really pure. You can't just make believe you are pure. Anything less than total purity, back into outer darkness. That's what you learn after a couple of hundred psychedelic trips." - Ram Dass, Be Here Now The ferry shows you the map but you still have to walk the territory.
