The $5 to join Warpcast will both significantly slow its growth in some regions, but will help maintain the quality of users and conversation. I agree it's not the future of social, but I think the experience of paying via Apple App Store to use a blockchain in the backend is the future of blockchain app experiences. The mnemonic phrase is the more significant hurdle, but we've had solutions like Argent unadopted for years already.

agreed onboarding funds through App store payments is smooth however will note: - normie key management has been solved by embedded wallets with social login - farcaster has a growth ceiling (<10M users) due to required gas payments for using the app
