From my understanding, volume manipulation during a mint pushes the mint to the front of Coinbase, Daylight, and other trending pages, which further increases the mint volume. And grants, such as those from @optimism are awarded based on this onchain data, correct? Or does retro-funding have a spam filter? 

"Unrealistic to build an onchain business today that solely relies on patronage with how many people there are currently using these apps." - @coopahtroopa.eth.

This explains so much about why funds keep going to the same few people, while the majority of creators are left to struggle. Maybe I'll burn my @cooprecs content next.
