in my opinion, some of the Aether-related pieces have been wonderful, some mediocre. my point is that the aesthetic variable has not been a particularly relevant input to which creations got minted a lot

anyway, the disconnect between effort and reward is why this little AI craze has felt so jarring and inimical to the Higher ethos, to me. Higher is (was?) all about effort, about trying hard to improve and evolve for the good of the individual *and* the collective

but effort is not what the crypto ecosystem rewards — in crypto, number go up because number might plausibly go up more in the future. alchemy of clout. Higher has tried to not be about that, but there's no escaping it
