Hackers Hack OpenAI Press Account to Promote OPENAI Token
The official OpenAI Newsroom account has been hacked and is promoting fake shitcoins, Grok developer Benjamin De Kracker wrote.
Numerous screenshots later emerged promoting the OPENAI token, which the hackers claimed would help “bridge the gap” between AI and blockchain, and would also provide the opportunity to participate in future programs from the company.
Neither OpenAI nor CEO Sam Altman have commented on the hack on their website or social media, but the hackers’ posts have since been removed from the compromised account.
