Last week the Property (Digital Assets etc) Bill was introduced into the UK parliament, enacting recommendations from the Law Commission of England and Wales. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲: 👉Statutory confirmation that certain digital assets can attract personal property rights. 👉Establishment of a multidisciplinary panel to provide guidance on complex legal issues related to digital assets. 👉Development of a bespoke statutory framework for collateral arrangements involving crypto-tokens.
