I would also expect that the reliability of an SSD that’s been doing intense read/write operations for three years straight is entering the danger zone.

I’m still running on a 2TB NVMe too, but have a brand new 4TB on hand in case it dies.

If room allows, a 2nd 2tb nvme would accomplish the same, be more performant (parallel r/w io) amd be cheaper! though i know room may not allow in your case, there are usb3 adapters and cases. Just something to consider! 42 $degen
