Apple Inc. was founded on April 1, 1976, by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. Jobs provided the visionary leadership, Wozniak engineered the early computers, and Wayne handled administrative tasks. Wayne sold his shares soon after the company’s founding.
