I think the opposite is true — AI will create more developers.

Coding is one of the few jobs that will benefit/ least negatively impacted from AI. But current sentiment is that it will be the most impacted. People are not ready for robots. Current limitations seem to be local compute. But a 4-5x powerful gpu & you have a walking super intelligent species among us.
