Crypto really is low status and trashy. It has afforded me a lot of opportunity but it’s also embarrassing and not something I am excited to tell people about

I tend to agree. I hesitate sometimes to tell the average person about crypto bc of all the baggage that comes with it.

Crypto needs more taste and thoughtfulness around messaging and culture.

TBH I start with Soft dev / Data Scientist… if they are curious enough to be more specific, I do say crypto / blockchain 

I don’t care that much what they think anymore but I agree is a sensitive topic for many

Yeah that's a good approach.  Focus on the use case rather than the tech
