The most common reaction we got when we told family & friends we're going nomadic: what, so you must be on constant vacation and burning through your savings, right? We certainly appreciate that we can travel the way we do, but we're also not fancy travelers. We stay in middle class locations, often adjacent to the tourist areas. We don't eat out very often and we cook a lot. We walk *a lot* and we usually pick one or two of the "touristy" things to do in an area. We don't see and do it all, otherwise it becomes overwhelming.

Funny how the opposite is true when people ask that question. Slow travel is the best

I had no idea what slow travel was before we reconfigured our lifestyle to do it. It really gives a great taste of an area!
