While establishing a U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve might legitimize crypto assets, doesn’t government ownership fundamentally undermine the decentralized ethos that drew us to crypto in the first place?

the gov can’t create more btc or change how it works

owning the coin is different from owning the printer

decentralized means any individual or entity is free to own it

yes governments can still exert influence over crypto assets indirectly through policy but that applies to anything and isnt new
