Feeling for my friends in the eastern Caribbean at the moment .  Hurricane Beryl is now the earliest category 4 hurricane on record in the Atlantic Ocean.  Will cross the eastern chain sometime tomorrow. 

Left is the exodus of boats earlier today fleeing south towards Trinidad tracked on AIS.  Right is the satellite map.  Have some good friends there one of who is alone as their partner was away travelling.  They have had to leave their boat at anchor to fend for itself and seek shelter on land. 

We have been in grenada anticipating a hurricane and tying  into the mangroves with four anchors out.  So I have some feeling to what they are going through.    Just the thought of the forecast sustained winds of 130 mph tomorrow as it crosses makes me feel ill.  

Water temps smashing all the records this year.  It’s going to be a long intense season.

Ive been monitoring the water temps this past few years, "smashing" is an understatement lol, in addition to more frequent storms like this, i'm also concerned on the condition of the gulf stream. will be interesting to see how things play out the next 5+ years 😓
