It gets deposited as WDEGEN on the DEGEN chain. You need to swap it for DEGEN on the DEGEN chain and then it can be bridged to DEGEN on BASE. But yeah, definitely more complicated than just claiming.

Coinbase wallet does not support new Degen chain. Import your address into Rainbow wallet and it will work smoothly.

I think that’s what I might have to do? Will my Degen from January and February still be there if I don’t do it for a few days/ weeks?

I too have a CB wallet but have it attached to my Rainbow wallet for that purpose.

Mine showed up in Rainbow and I had to swap from wrapped degen to regular degen on the degen chain through rainbow and then swap from degen on degen chain to degen on base
