Decentralizing channels update

1. Phase 1 goes live Thursday morning Pacific time (May 23).

2. All channels will start in unmoderated / Priority mode.

3. Will be easy to add a moderator on mobile and web.

PSA: Phase 1 of channel decentralization goes live tomorrow.

This is a preparatory phase with numerous changes, including deprecating old moderation tools.

Do warps go away or how will channel creation be paid for?

Sorry, what's linked is a little different from what I remember. Warps are still a thing and channels cost $25 annually.

I couldn't find it, thanks. Yeah was curious since they will be on chain other clients can create there I'm guessing they just may not be warpcaster accepted

Doesn't affect me just very curious seems like big deal for major channels

I get the sense that payment will get sorted out later. It'll become a protocol level fee, like buying storage (Coinbase commerce backend).
