What most people think is innovation is actually just carefully pruning and compiling successes from the past. It’s more about taste and observation than creativity.

There’s a lot of “innovation” in reviewing what has been overlooked in the past as well. Combining old ideas with new context (e.g., “withered technology”) is underrated.
