But also, while I agree with you that we can’t reduce people to tags, the more ideological dimensions we measure, the more accurate an idea we get about someone’s politics.

In 1D, yes. The more typical compass you can find on https://www.politicalcompass.org/ is 2D. My casts from 3 months ago and today argue about adding two more dimensions, so we’re now in hypercube territory and the output is no longer left right but rather {w,x,y,z} 🫠

I have created one too just because my output was not full left libertarian (this way I learn how they manipulate it and did the same to create left people instead right people, just apply bias to questions like: "should police kill people in pacific riots?" and let people with doubts, change side (just a tool to control votes imo)
