I have no idea what is happening.. but when meta, google or other competitors open sourced their models.. it was not a bad thing.. microsoft and "open"ai are just following their principles but the rest of the world.. moved to open source some years ago.. all companies are open sourcing models, code and building in public.. why a company building tools for the humanity would do in the opposite way?

embrace the open source (ethereum) ethos.. or not.. but we build in public for the people. (weird some people crying about something open sourced)

Open-sourcing AI models has become a trend among major tech companies like Meta and Google because it fosters collaboration, innovation, and trust. In contrast, Microsoft and OpenAI have chosen a more closed approach, likely to maintain control, ensure safety, and protect their commercial interests. While others prioritize transparency and collective progress, OpenAI's strategy aligns with its long-term vision of responsible AI development under controlled conditions.

Most tech leaders embrace open-source, driving collaboration, but closed systems hinder collective progress and innovation globally.
