is there any credible argument out there about how books aren’t dead?

(imo flat means clearly dying/dead bc population growth AND publishing rates are both increasing)

and.. there are a great number of authors who publish and get no revenue.. and this number is increasing too.. 

secondary sales.. there are overproduction of books.. but these books still  exist in that secondary market and people spend money there.. money that will not reach the revenue charts..

and.. people who already inherit thousands of books.. 

(II don't think you can measure that checking revenues.. but .. that's another story..)
