I’ve recently been really into Chappell Roan’s Good Luck Babe song for some reason. I was reading an interview of her talking about it and she was saying that the song is about an ex she had who was dating a guy, when she really wasn’t meant for him; she should have been dating Chappell. She tells her ex (in the song) you’re gonna end up miserable if you go down this path and date this guy 

But then it hit her (while making the song) that the song was not about her ex, or about the guy. She realized it was about herself. It was about how she hated lying to herself more than anything
