Stories give us collective ownership of our desires on a scale that is larger than just ourselves. It makes us feel whole; it makes us dream, and that’s why it’s hard to come up with good stories

If you have a name you can agree upon for desires, they can be pointed towards, and if they can be identified they can be collectively lived through
