But if everything is really a convexity problem what are you trading for tractability? Ironically, it’s like lossy compression - because it’s lossy. Optimal control gives you a more simplified version of reality. Don’t even get me started on how everything engineering wise that works is a essentially a handy wavy *guesstimate* - I’d honestly start driving cars and planes too
