From now on I’m only counting nudes if they come from Faust otherwise it’s just sparkling diffusion models.

@july could onlyfans be your breakout target audience? I’m sure instamodels could use it as a competitive advantage too. Gotta support the oldest industry in this transitional period. Call it a Faustian bargain (am I using this right?)

Honestly, it’s not out of the question Anywhere where something real is worth more than something fake or imagined - I imagine Roc Camera could be hsed

one of the ways I think about this is: you know when you are watching a real football match? like a live one? and then you are watching a replay on youtube or something the difference between the two (even though its the same footage) matters tremendously I think in a way what I'm aiming for with Roc, how can anyone use a device to create that sense of tension about something being real online? could we do it? i think that's one of the questions that intrigued me

Damn I wish I didn’t delete my long reply lol. The roc camera is a no brainer the only problem I see is no moat. Crypto signatures seems like an obvious addition in the near future with smartphone cameras. But that can be a software update and it’ll be good enough for most people. The improvements in AI will mean this is a certainty in the near future. But it’s a very new behaviour. Something for everyone to mentally check for with almost everything they do. And one everyone old and young will be forced to do. That kind of change at this scale is extremely rare and even rarer to see coming from afar. So a lot of potential for new products and brands to get an important foot in the door. The bigger companies will be too slow and not enter with enough force and by the time the do they entire game will have changed too much. Exciting times.

The moat is not technical - the moat is cultural also i think it's slightly counter-intuitive but people want a real device that's dedicated to it, and I think the larger goal is about building a brand you can trust, and having a device you can trust that's made for it, that's focused on creating a verifiable connection between the digital and real worlds - I think that's worth is weight in gold - enough to buy many moats

Trust is key agreed but no company on earth has the trust of the consumer like Apple and they have the advantage in setting the tone for everyone when it comes to behaviour. Hard agree on the moat being cultural. That’s what I was thinking of when I said new behaviour en masse. That’s the opportunity. New behaviour. The luxury of being a startup is you can hyper optimize for the new behaviour, think through 2nd and 3rd order effects and go all in. Be turnkey and operational with anything and everything else. The kinds of things established companies can’t do or do too slowly. This will be where the culture comes from and what creates the moat.
