I’m a wary when it’s “just” something because it usually means it’s “just” that: - it’s just a few lines of code - it’s just a small change - it’s just for a few days - I just need to put it together - i just need to do it - I just need to do this one last thing before I go to bed

This isn’t really a criticism per se, but really it’s more coming from a place of experience because I’ve been the one that said all of these things at one point or another

I think what happens here or is that more often than not you underestimate significantly how complicated something is. Anything that needs to be done hospital find specifically what it means for some thing to be done, and what it takes for that thing to be done both those things are actually infinitely complex

Maybe because of this in the planning stage of projects I’ve accumulated a lot of paranoia about everything that could go wrong and what could go wrong — I kind of just generally assume that it will a lot more than I used to, and that everything is just a lot more complex than I used to think

Seems like there is a disconnect between thinking and doing Thinking and planning is governed by paranoia and doing is governed by violence of the act itself - come down like lightning and hope for the best

I think that we tend to keep control on everything around us and we bring on our shoulders things that are only into our imagination but that in reality they’re absolutely out of our control. Are you checked carefully that what could go wrong is something you can control? In my experience I often get anxious about something that is not my total business.
