Incumbents underestimate the opportunity cost of the untried, while innovators underestimate the amount of work it takes to friggin do anything worthwhile

My unsolicited advice for both sides: just do it anyway because action beats inaction. For clarity - while action and doing seems pretty similar; there is an ocean of difference between inaction and not doing. In action is not deciding on what to do, and letting it rot — not doing, is a choice. You either choose to do or not do, and that is action

Also call it what you want, divine intervention, luck, probability - but you need the gods on your side (just like the Greeks going into battle against the Trojans) in order to prevail Thinking you can do it alone is probably ultimately not productive. It’s not all in your control and that’s ok
