Loss is a forcing function for appreciation When you lose a loved on, you really realize how much you loved them, and appreciated them When you lose your health, you really appreciate how much your health matters to you When you become an adult, you really appreciate what your parents did for you to be here

One way to mitigate the shock of loss, is to front run the forcing function and appreciate what you have today - your health, your friends, your family, anything - really

Definitely agree! I think having any sort of mental disfunction that causes you to not filter a lot of shit you say kind of combats this, as well. If you have strong ADHD and speak your unfiltered mind a lot people will know you love them (or not) more often!

I think not having a filter, at least how I understand it, is your just about being truthful to how you are and what you feel. If that involves loving others and letting them know I could not supported more full heartedly.
