Making the audience laugh and making a product that your customers enjoy is surprisingly similar, I think. It’s either funny or it’s not funny. Also you end up telling a lot of bad jokes

Good ux makes you smile usually because its polish that nobody needed but makes you feel the builder really wanted to go that extra mile rarer and rarer these days makes me think of unboxing apple boxes, there's some magic in the whole thing

Digital has a grain or texture to it. Product too. Sometimes you want people to “feel” more than others. It is akin to grid systems in graphic design and breaking them to create emphasis. Or inserting a minor note in a major chord. Sometimes you want to make someone notice and feel something.
