It also suggests implicitly that "actions" should be discrete, and not continuously defined. Actions that you take, not pieces that bleed into each other. There's a bit of courage to choose your aesthetics required to recognize and articulate the discrete in the continuous, often - so that is where your self, as the lens comes in to suggest the "action" hence this applies well to the arts, it applies well to creating things, acting in the moment of creation
