Good Art should provoke or rather force one to arrive at love or to hate. Either way it must make one feel something. Even if it’s not immediately understood. It invites us in and reveals its mysteries gradually.

The beauty of this idea is not the experience of what is provoked by the art; what one arrives at is uniquely different for everyone. 

One of my favorite things when encountering great art is when people are certain that this was made for them - for this moment in time, because how it resonates so clearly with them.
