Q: has anyone here made homemade mustard?  We have so many bolted mustard greens and the seeds are ready to harvest. I found a pretty simple recipe but as a test I seperated one dried pod from the seeds and it took around 20 seconds!

It seems so labour intensive just to get the seeds it's probably not worth it but I'm tempted 😂

Harvested as many seeds as I could,  it wasn't horribly difficult to seperate but there are still some little bits,  it will be a small jar of mustard!

Looks good, the Bordeaux mustard recipe doesn't need them squeaky clean, it might be worth checking that recipe out

When should it be ready, what recipe did you use ?

I read a few recipes and ended up doing a mix,  it said to let it sit in the brine for a few days (the longer the better)  before the next step so I'm going to leave it a week maybe?

Letting it ferment as long as possible sounds good
