these are the only projects that started on fc & successfully broke out in other words, people came to fc specifically for these projects what can we learn from them? degen -> tipping meta gaia -> frames v1 nft claim clanker -> bot deployment meta fire -> non-frame fc oAuth game the clankers below couldn’t quite infiltrate the zeitgeist despite outsized attention capture, at least not yet: anon -> real tech blonde -> cultural phenomenon gdupi -> authentic IP in addition to those above, the projects below also have potential to breakout & it’s likely just a matter of time: higher -> aesthetics & determination clankermon -> likely frames v2 breakout native -> experimentation clankfun -> fc outside of fc why do you think degen & clanker broke out while others failed? how can we build on fc but for people outside of fc?

i honestly think a lot of it is just luck. shots on goal. i don’t think CT cared about degen tipping, they were sold on the fact that it was a bet on FC. they also don’t care about the in-feed dynamics of clanker — just that it’s brought excitement to memecoins on base. that’s not taking anything away from the projects, but i think it’s naive to think that you can design sustained virality. best you can do is be at the right place at the right time with the right narrative, and keep taking shots until you get there.

I’d say some get lucky, some cabal well & know how to buy some engagement.. And others do a concerted effort aka spend 4 months or years fulltime on growth to get into the spotlight including onboarding all close ecosystem supporters & influencers, wider strategic ecosystem partners, personal outreach and massive incentive spend. Focus on the token is key. If your project is composable, accessible, fun & offers opportunity for users, investors, builders - that will be extra fuel! Pick your pill 🙂
