one costly decision by @zora that the team/ecosystem might feel in the future: completely cutting out every other minting options except coining. coining and tokenization economy experiments are fine, but many of Zora’s creators loved the platform for 1/1 and open mints. that’s gone now, and those creators will naturally explore — and possible fully move to — @rodeodotclub @highlight @manifoldxyz and other platforms

Coining likely a better Business Model for current Trading Heavy crypto State but owning unique / scarce things on the Internet is a completely different use case & fits in 90% of occasions better to art, creators, collectors, niche speculators - hence, somewhat sad to see it turn into another meme launchpad & completely give up on the more unique value prop & community. I like simplicity in platforms and often it‘s good to not offer too many choices to Users but it made very much Sense to offer 1-1 NFTs, Limited editions and open editions and let creators pick. Neither understood Rodeo‘s decision to not offer more choices. Hence, people often missed the minting and creators + platform made no revenue at all.

appreciate the feedback, Julian! there could have been just an 'old' frontend live for people who wanted that functionality, and then focus on new bets if that's the decision. absolutely agree with you - 1/1s, limited editions are fundamental for those user categories. looking forward to seeing how these experiments will play out.
